MyGroupy · Authentication SMS

A code you ask for.
A choice you control.

MyGroupy uses SMS for requested account verification and recovery codes. Email sign-up is available without SMS. Consent belongs to this app and this purpose.

Pre-release consent evidence

How a person opts in

  1. The person chooses Phone number in Create account and enters a number they control. They can choose Email instead.
  2. The SMS consent box starts unchecked. The person reads the authentication purpose, frequency, rates, STOP/HELP instructions and policy links beside it.
  3. The person checks the optional SMS box and selects Create account to request a verification code. The app prevents that phone-code request without consent.
  4. They enter the received six-digit code. A resend requires another deliberate request. Ordinary password login does not routinely request SMS.
  5. Replying STOP stops this sender's SMS. HELP and the support email provide help. Another app requires its own opt-in.

Evidence status

The adjacent form is a pre-release review rendering of the intended MyGroupy phone-signup controls, with a fictional number. It is not a live registration form or an installed-device screenshot. It does not collect numbers, create accounts or send messages.

Before the ordinary SMS sender is activated, the matching native controls, publicly accessible policy links, and STOP/HELP responses must be confirmed. This page does not claim carrier approval or live delivery.

MyGroupy registration description

Use the description only when the app controls and sender configuration match it:

MyGroupy is a social planning app operated by Dominic Murray. Users choose phone signup, enter a number they control, and affirmatively request authentication texts using an unchecked SMS consent control. The screen explains the purpose, message frequency, carrier rates, STOP/HELP, and links to the SMS Terms and Privacy Policy. Email signup is available without SMS. Messages contain requested one-time authentication or account-recovery codes. No marketing or invitation texts are sent through this program. Screens shown here are from the pre-release consent review; the app is not publicly launched.

Example message

MyGroupy: Your verification code is 123456. Do not share this code. Reply STOP to stop, HELP for help.

Fictional example. The actual provider template and delivery behavior must be checked before activation.

Two apps, separate permission

Dominic Murray also operates MyHelp, a separate workplace planning app. Any proposal to share a sending number must be accurately reviewed by Twilio. The MyGroupy screen above is not evidence of MyHelp consent. A separate proposed MyHelp consent specification and SMS-program supplement are included below. They do not claim that the native MyHelp controls have been implemented or that the shared sender is approved. An opt-out at a shared sender can affect both apps.

MyHelp · Proposed pre-release flow

MyHelp account verification

A separate opt-in for a separate app, operated by the same sole proprietor.

Status: proposed consent design. This is a review specification for an unreleased MyHelp SMS feature. It is not an installed-device screenshot, a live signup form, or evidence that MyHelp's native controls are already implemented. The implementation must match this flow and retain the required consent records before activation.

Proposed user journey

  1. A person chooses optional phone verification in MyHelp and enters a number they control. Email sign-in stays available.
  2. Before any text, the screen identifies MyHelp, the verification purpose, frequency, rates, STOP/HELP, public support email, and direct Privacy/SMS Terms links.
  3. The SMS consent box starts unchecked. The person checks it and deliberately requests a code. Both the button and keyboard action must prevent a phone-code request without consent.
  4. The delivered message identifies MyHelp. The person enters its six-digit code in MyHelp. Resends require another deliberate request.
  5. Changing the recipient clears the choice. The app must record its own consent and honor sender opt-outs. A choice in another app supplies no consent here.

Two-app proposal for Twilio

Dominic Murray operates MyGroupy and MyHelp as a sole proprietor and requests review of using one toll-free sender for requested authentication codes in these two apps. Messages identify the requesting app. Consent, users and sessions remain separate; no consent is transferred between apps. No marketing, invitations, workplace alerts or third-party customer traffic is included. MyGroupy's pre-release review rendering and MyHelp's proposed consent specification are shown separately in this document. Neither represents a public app launch. The MyHelp native consent flow is not claimed implemented. The described controls, consent records, templates and STOP/HELP behavior must be in place before activation. Please assess whether this one-operator, two-app proposal is eligible and whether additional evidence is required.
